How we write
LLMs don't sound human without direction. This is how we direct them.
AI proposes, a human directs. That happens at every layer: pen names, plots, characters, settings, research, prose. Drafts get reworked until the direction is right. A Publishr novel is what's left after enough of those passes.
The goal of every pass is the same: push back against the LLM defaults that make AI-written prose feel hollow. Generic emotional beats, essay-voice dialogue, reach for the most likely next sentence. Each book is another attempt to train those out of the finished text.
Readers come in at the end. Read the finished books, tell us how they landed: what worked, what broke, what rang false. That feedback shapes the next book. It can also put a current one back through the loop: strong feedback, or a hallucination we missed, triggers a new edition.

For now, the way to take part is to read and respond. Every comment is feedback that sharpens the next book. Tell us which passages landed, which felt hollow, which dialogue rang false. The harsher and the more specific, the better.
Your profile can list the genres and AI-craft topics you care about. Those preferences feed how the next books get planned — not as votes, but as signal about who's here and what you're here for.
Named contributor credit for readers who shape the work is something we'll build when we see the pattern of what real contribution looks like. Until then, the conversation itself is the contribution.
